Jen's Healing Journey
Jen’s Healing Journey
Kia ora,
My name is Jen, and this is my story.
My journey has been one of resilience, surrender, and deep transformation.
In 2017, I weighed 122.5kg.
By 2025, I sparkled at 84.3kg.
Not by accident, not by shortcuts, but by doing the mahi, (the work). The commitment to choosing myself again and again, even when it was hard.

I’ve carried six babies and naturally birthed five.
I’ve been alongside my husband for 22 years, married for 17.
Life has been full, beautiful, and at times incredibly heavy.
I’ve weathered storms, walked through depression, and faced dark thoughts, seasons where I didn’t always put myself first, where survival took precedence over self-care.
Then came the next chapter, My mummy makeover.

This chapter wasn’t about perfection. It was about giving myself another chance at life.
A chance to feel lighter, not just in my body, but in my spirit.
To feel free. To stand proudly in how far I had come.
Surgery was only one part of my story. Yes, it helped me release excess skin.
But more than that, it symbolised letting go of trauma I had carried for years. It marked a decision to stop holding onto what no longer served me and to step fully into healing.
I didn’t just change my body.
God is transforming my mind, strengthening my discipline, and renewing my spirit.
This journey has taught me that true recovery is holistic: physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional, and that healing is not about becoming someone new, but returning to who you were always meant to be.
This lived experience is the heart behind my work today, with ORA by Jen.
I walk alongside others with compassion, clarity, and deep understanding, because I’ve been there. I know what it means to choose yourself, to rebuild, and to rise.
And I believe with my whole heart that healing is possible, especially when you are supported, held, and honoured every step of the way.
